Ala-eh! Kainam dine sa amin!
Wondering where to go in Batangas? What to do? What to eat? Or whom to meet?
You came to the right place!
Started out of love for our native land, we’ve been collecting photos, videos, and features about Batangas that we’ve been sharing online before we welcomed contributors who wanted to help us showcase more of the province.
Now a community of Batangueño photographers, videographers, and writers, Barako-ph has become the number 1 source of what’s in, what’s out, and what’s new in the Batangas.
Known as the land of the “Barakos,” Batangas is such a blessed land located in the CALABARZON region in Luzon. Only over a hundred kilometers from the metro, and surrounded by other vacation spots in the Philippines like Cavite and Laguna in the north, Mindoro in the south, and Quezon Province in the east, we accommodate millions of tourists per year who go back home carrying a sweeter insight of Batangas with them.
The province is popular for a lot of things. The kapeng barako brewed to perfection in Lipa, the Lomi with overflowing toppings in Bañadero, the sumang magkayap in Tanauan, the world-famous Taal, the challenging trek of Mt. Maculot, the spectacular diving sites and pristine beaches, pre-Spanish settlements that rose to become urban centers are like no others, and of course, the loud but very warm Batangueños.
It’s definitely no surprise that Batangas has a rich culture and heritage that will capture the interest of anyone.
Barako.ph publishes articles regularly that talks about the lifestyle, people, food, travel, culture, and traditions in Batangas. Join us explore new gems in the province and be the first to experience them!
