FIBA 3X3 WORLD CUP 2018 (PHILIPPINES)
Tuloy na tuloy na ang pagdaos ng FIBA 3X3 World Cup ngay-ong June 08-12, 2018 dito mismo sa Pilipinas.
Ang mga laro ng FIBA 3X3 World Cup ng men & women basketball ay magaganap mismo sa makasaysayang Philippine Arena sa Bocaue, Bulacan.
Ayon kay Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas (SBP) President Al Panlilio ang 3×3 basketball umano ay isa pinagtutuunang pansin ng kanilang ahensya dahil tinuturing ng olympic sport ang 3X3. Makakasama na nga raw umano ang 3X3 sa Tokyo Olympics ngayong 2020.
20 teams para sa mens at 20 teams rin para sa women’s 3X3 ang dadalo mula sa iba’t ibang mga bansa sa mundo ang lalahok para sa FIBA 3X3 World Cup 2018.
Para sa Philippine women’s 3×3 team ito ay binubuo nina
- Afril Bernardino, 5’8, 27 years old, Position SG/Forward, College: National University, Hometown: Cainta Rizal
- Jack Danielle Animam, 6’2, 20 years old, Position: Forward/ Center, College: National University, Hometown: Malolos, Bulacan
- Gemma Miranda, 5’8, 23 years old, Position: Small Forward, College: National University, Hometown: Davao City.
Samantala isang Batanguenya naman mula Lemery, Batangas ang nakasama para mabuo ang Philippine women’s team at ito nga ay si Janine Pontejos.
Si Janine Pontejos ay 26 anyos na may taas na 5’5 at naglalaro bilang Shooting Guard. Sa apat na kinatawan ng Philippine womens team ay siya lang ang nagmula sa Centro Escolar University kumpara sa tatlo na mula lahat sa NU.
Samantala para naman sa Philippine men’s 3×3 team ay mga PBA players ang maglalaro. Ito ay binubuo nina Christian Standhardinger ng SMB, Stanley Pringle ng Globalport at sina Roger Pogoy at Troy Rosario na mula naman sa Talk n Text.
