Fun Food and Faith Showcased in Batangas’ Photo Contest at SM Lipa

Lipa City – A total of 77 photos showcasing the tourism of Batangas province are now exhibited at the Events Center of SM City Lipa until November 20. These photos were the entries of the recently concluded photo contest organized by the Provincial Tourism Culture and Arts Office (PTCAO). With the theme Fun Food Faith, the photo entries showed the different experience destinations in Batangas.

The judges include Mary Joanne “Chiqui” Triviño, Vice Chairman of the Batangas Culture & Arts Council (BCAC) and the Assistant Vice President of TV5’s Media Research; renowned wedding and portrait photographer Elmer Castor; and First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities’ (FAITH) Senior Mulitmedia Specialist Dexter Balita.

The launching and awarding was also graced by Lipa City Mayor Eric Africa, Lipa City Tourism Council President Beth Lozano and Batangas Tourism Council President Sonny Lozano.

Ang Basilica ng Bughaw na Oras
The winning photo of Eleuterio Andal of Batangas City “Ang Basilica sa Bughaw na Oras”. This photo won first place in the professional category.

Winning first place in the professional level is Eleuterio Andal Jr’s “Ang Basilica sa Bughaw na Oras” which also won the People’s Choice Award.

The student category on the other hand was taken by Jhon Kenneth De Chavez of Batangas Eastern Colleges with his photo of San Juan Nepomuceno Church.
