The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has released an improved design of the new generation currency banknote.
According to BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno, the new currencies have more features against counterfeiting.
He added that the design of the new currencies is for the elderly and visually impaired.
Design improvements include P50, P100, P200, P500 and P1,000.
The enhanced features of the new currencies include the “indigenous weave design” and the movement of the designs and colors of the windowed security thread when viewed from different angles.
