MPBL Lakan Season
The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) continues its fiery and exciting Lakan Season and today they’re playing down South at the Durian Capital of the Philippines, Davao City in Mindanao.
It’s a Saturday night double header inside the jampacked RMC Petrogazz Arena. First game is between the inaugural MPBL Champion Batangas City Tanduay Athletics versus Mindoro Tamaraws.
Batangas defeats Mindoro with a final score of 106-99 as veteran Big Man Jhaymo Eguilos leads the athletics with 25 points, 13 rebounds, in 8/14 FGs making him the Best player for tonight’s game.
Aside from Eguilos, Jason Melano contributed 26 points, while Suerte and Jeff Viernes tallied 14 points apiece.
It’s not a walk in the park kind of game for the Athletics as the Tamaraw’s fought hard to hold their ground with PBA veteran and former Gilas Pilipinas player Mac Baracael spearheading the Tamaraws with 18 points.
Batangas now climbs up to the MPBL Lakan Season standings with 13-7 record, while Mindoro slides down to 8-16.
