NYC CONDEMNS BULLYING INCIDENT AT ATENEO

The National Youth Commission vehemently condemns the recent bullying incident captured in a viral video that happened at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Bullying is prohibited in schools as prescribed in the provisions of the Anti Bullying Act.

As students, Filipino children are reared and brought up to be adherent to prescribed rules and regulations on discipline whenever they are inside svhool campuses. The manifestation of any act of violence perpetrated by a child where another child also suffered as a result of the act should never be taken lightly by school authorities much more by the parents of the children involved.

Something must be done at the soonest by concerned authorities to prevent other children to suffer from the trauma and to become skeptical in attending classes because of the impact of bullying.
