SM Celebrates with Lipa City on its Fiesta

Come January 20, the whole city of Lipa will be celebrating the Feast Day of San Sebastian. To give more festivity to the event, Lipa started its weeklong fiesta celebration with SM City Lipa as the host for its two events – the Manosa Exhibit and Fiesta Car Show.

Spearheaded by the United Architects of the Philippines Lipa Chapter, the Manosa exhibit was launched last January 11 at the Events Center of SM City Lipa. The exhibit features the works and story of National Artist for Architecture Francisco Manosa, who is a pillar of Pinoy design. The Fiesta Car Show held last January 13 on the other hand, showed the car culture of Lipa and was staged at the mall’s front parking area. In addition, SM City Lipa will also be staging a mall show featuring Kapuso artists Migo Adecer, Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix and Ashley Ortega on January 19.

SM also took part in the January 14 event – DepEd night at the Plaza Independencia. Through Coun Gwen Wong, SM Foundation donated and turned over a total of 300 arm chairs to select public elementary schools in the Division of Lipa City.

Early in the morning of January 20, the mall will serve as the start point of the annual float parade contest while the afternoon will be filled with music as Surplus ambassadors Ysabel Ortega, Yves Flores and Jane de Leon makes a mall show performance at the mall’s Events Center.
