SM City Lipa Halloween Costume Contest 2017: “Zuma” got the “Scariest Costume”
Seven-year-old Andrae Nicholas Tapero of Brgy. Alupay in Rosario, Batangas was awarded the “Scariest Costume” in the recently concluded Halloween Costume Contest at SM City Lipa last October 31.
Andrae wore a costume inspired by Zuma, a Filipino villain character that was made popular in the 1970s up to the late 80s. Zuma is characterized as a demigod, half-man, half snake.

Also awarded in the costume contest is 10-year old Allyza Joyce Lescano from Brgy. Banay Banay Lipa City for the most fabulous Queen category.
Allyza’s costume is inspired by Charlize Theron’s character as Queen Ravenna in the movie Snow White and the Huntsman. The most fabulous king, on the other hand, was taken by four-year-old Francis Simon Lopez of Lipa City.

The contest was judged by make-up artist Malick James Hillado and event organizers Nancy Endaya and Ronald Umali. Criteria for judging includes visual impact 30%, creativity 30%, theme adherence 20% and stage presence 20%.
Andrae, Allyza, and Francis each received 5000 pesos worth of SM shopping money.
