BATANGAS CITY: 12th Sudoku Super Challenge at SM City Batangas

Sudoku Super Challenge

Twenty-five students from St. Bridget College, CENTEX Batangas and Philippine Science High School Main participated in the recently concluded 12th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge Regional Elimination at SM City Batangas.

The participants competed in different categories depending on their corresponding grade level, Sudoku Whizkid for elementary level, Sudoku Wizard for high school level and Sudoku Grand Master for college level and professionals.

Geric James Suangue of CENTEX Batangas won the gold medal for Whiz Kid category while Jon Laurence Ramirez and Theodore Dinglasan of St. Bridget College won the silver and bronze medal respectively. In the wizard category, Philippine Science High School’s Albriz Moore Bagsic bagged the gold medal while Cale Siron Napa and Althea Maxine Cataquis of St. Bridget College bagged the silver and bronze medal and Shaine Ignacio of Tanuan City landed Gold Medalist in the Grand Master Category.

Meanwhile, the national finals is set on January 27, 2018, at the SkyDome in SM City North Edsa.

Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge at SM in partnership with Mathematics Trainers Guild (MTG) and in cooperation with Philippine Star and Phoenix Publishing House aims to promote the number puzzle to the youth for the purpose of developing their reasoning ability; enhance the mental and critical skills of the students so that they can solve life’s problems effectively; and offer an alternative to spending enjoyable, educational and productive past time.
