WALANG PASOK UPDATE: Class Suspensions due to Taal Volcano Eruption

Suspension of classes in the entire province of Batangas will continue in ALL LEVELS in ALL SCHOOLS, both PUBLIC AND PRIVATE, while the Alert Level of Taal Volcano is at LEVEL 4 this is according to a memorandum released by Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas on Sunday, January 19, 2020.

As per DOST-PHIVOLCS latest update (January 19, 2020: 8AM) Alert Level 4 still remains in effect over Taal Volcano indicating a possible hazardous eruptive explosion within hours to days. DOST- PHIVOLCS strongly reiterates total evacuation of Taal Volcano Island and high-risk areas as identified in the hazard maps within the 14-km radius from Taal Main Crater and along the Pansipit River Valley where fissuring has been observed.
