BATANGAS CITY TANDUAY ATHLETICS NAKALASAP NG UNANG PAGKATALO SA MPBL ANTA DATU CUP
Nakalasap na ng unang pagkatalo ang inaugural MPBL champion Batangas City Tanduay Athletics sa ikalawang laro ng mga ito buhat ng magbukas ang MPBL Anta Datu Cup.
Tinalo ng Bataan Risers ang defending champion sa iskor na 81-67 nitong Miyerkules ng gabi sa jampacked Bataan People’s Center sa Balanga, Bataan.
Nahirang na Best player si former Ateneo Blue Eagle Vince Tolentino na nagtala ng 12 points at 10 rebounds.
Si El Granada Gary David naman at Rob Celiz ay parehong nakapagtala ng 11 points, 12 rebounds para sa Bataan.
Pinangunahan naman ni Lester Alvarez ang Batangas na nakapagtala ng 17 points. Samantalang nakapagbigay naman sina Paul Varilla ng 13 points, Bong Galanza 9 pts, at Olayon 9 pts.
Hindi pa rin naglaro sa Batangas ang inaugural MPBL MVP na si Val Acuña at ang reliable big man na si Jhaymo Eguilos dahil sa injury.
Ang susunod na laro ng Athletics ay magaganap sa Batangas City sa July 10 kontra sa Makati Skyscrapers.
