STAR TOLLWAY-PINAMUCAN BYPASS ROAD…
The development of STAR Tollway- Pinamucan Bypass Road Project in Batangas City is ongoing.
The access road which is a joint project of the Batangas city government and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) started its construction last November 2017.
It has an initial budget of PHP 150 million. The entire phase 1 of the said project is 10.3 kilometers long which covers building of a 179-meter long bridge that runs across Calumpang river that will connect barangay Tingga and barangays San Pedro, Dalig, Dumantay, Sampaga, Dumuclay, Sirang Lupa, and Libjo.
Phase 2 is 8.4 kilometers long which starts in Sirang Lupa, San Isidro, Mahabang Dahilig, Tabangao Ambulong, Tabangao Dao, Pinamucan Proper, and exits Pinamucan Ibaba .
The access road project is expected to be completed within 2 years.
This will ease traffic congestion from the city to industrial zones and will also contribute to city development.(Sources: Batangas City PIO)
