Gilas Pilipinas swept the fifth window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers
We’re back! After a big win against Saudi Arabia in the fifth window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, Gilas Pilipinas is now setting its sights on the sixth and final window of the tournament.
This will be held in the Philippines in February, where the national team will have a chance to make up for Lebanon after defeating them in the fourth window of the tournament last August. Gilas will also face Jordan.
In the most recent match against Saudi Arabia, Gilas Pilipinas came out victorious with a final score of 76-63.
The first half of the game was tight between the two teams until Gilas completely pulled away in the third quarter of the match. Saudi Arabia tried to catch up in the fourth quarter but the Philippines maintained the advantage.
Four players scored in double figures for the Philippines, namely Dwight Ramos (13 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists), RR Pogoy (13 points, 4 rebounds), Kai Sotto (11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 blocks), and CJ Perez (10 points).
Meanwhile, Scottie Thompson also had a great game with 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The win against Saudi Arabia was a big boost for the morale of the team as they head into the final window of the tournament.
